A Thoughtful Approach to Competitive Dance
 

Company G is not audition-based or invitation-only. Mr. Greg believes every dancer should have the opportunity to work toward competitive dance when the time is right. However, competition is not the appropriate next step for every dancer at every stage of their training.
 

Company G requires a higher level of technical readiness, maturity, consistency, work ethic and commitment. Dancers should be well-versed in Jazz, Tap and Ballet, demonstrate a strong understanding of movement, and have the ability to learn, retain and apply choreography and corrections.
 

Rather than formal auditions, Mr. Greg considers the whole dancer—their training, strengths, areas for growth, attendance, work ethic, maturity and overall readiness. Placement decisions are made with each dancer’s confidence, development and best interest at the forefront. If a dancer is not ready today, the goal is to provide a clear path toward becoming ready.

Company G uses competitive dance as a tool for growth—not simply awards or placements. Our program is centered around four principles:

Dancers learn to contribute to a team, prepare with purpose, receive feedback, celebrate others and handle both success and disappointment with maturity.
 

These aren’t just competition skills. They’re life skills.
